Dim Mak DIY

This isn’t the first time I’ve ever seen this offered but it’s the first time I’ve seen it offered by a larger clothing line. Dim Mak by Steve Aoki just released their fall 2009 clothing line product shots and you won’t believe what gimmick was included in that release….

They brought out the “do it yourself” coloring book tees that include fabric markers with the purchase of the shirt. This does give you the freedom to create your own look and express just how you think the shirts should be colored, but doesn’t this cheapen the product? Won’t the shirts look a little more counterfeit and a little less authentic?

I do admire the fact that Dim Mak is willing to trust their consumers and give them ownership of the shirts they purchase. I just wonder what the real intention was for going this route?
