The T Shirt Quilts Guide

The creation of t shirt quilts dates back many years and is a huge tradition with many families, but the t shirts weren’t always the main ingredient in these quilts.
Early on quilts were pieced together with scraps of any clothing that could be salvaged to keep warm (Also known as patchwork quilts). This was a common practice in times of war and for families that were struggling to get by each day.
All old or ruined clothes were recycled and turned into warm quilts. Later on people started taking old t shirts and used the same method to create t shirt quilts, but this time it wasn’t necessarily to keep warm, but to preserve great memories.
Preserving Memories and Your Business History
Everyone has cool t shirts from concerts, their childhood, sports events and creating a t shirt quilt out of these these became a fun alternative to throwing them out.
I thought this might be an interesting idea for anyone who runs their own t shirt business. You could save one shirt of each design and then create a nice looking quilt that uses fabrics between the tees that matches your style.
